Deputy Elijah Allen with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 41-year-old Erin Marjorie Brown of Marion with felony Possession of Methamphetamine and misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was initially denied bond due to already being out on pretrial release.
On Sunday, Sept. 6, Deputy Allen initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle, off of Sugar Hill Rd. in Marion. Brown was the driver of the van and was found to have an outstanding warrant against her.
A subsequent search of the vehicle after a positive K9 sniff, turned up a suspected amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia including hypodermic needles and a digital scale.
The Marion Police Department assisted with the incident.
