The Borough of Belmar is aware that syringes have washed ashore on the beach. The Department of Public Works has been notified and is actively working to safely locate and remove them from the area.
For your safety, please do not touch or attempt to remove any syringes you encounter. If you spot one, please alert a lifeguard, DPW staff, or Borough personnel immediately so it can be properly disposed of.
We appreciate the public's patience and cooperation as we work to keep our beach safe and clean.
