Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., is asking the public for help in locating Mopelola Omonubi, 59, who was reported missing on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
Omonubi, a Black woman, was last seen that day, September 9th, wearing a pink-and-white striped shirt, black pants, and black sneakers. She is 5’5”, weighs 160 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair. Omonubi is known to travel to Rutherford, N.J., for work on the NJ Transit bus.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on Omonubi’s whereabouts to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
