INCIDENT: Victorville City Gang Impact Team Recovers Two Handguns During Search Warrant

LOCATION: 11800 Block of Firbrook Street, Victorville

SUSPECT(S): Kelvin Weathersby, 22-years-old, Resident of Victorville

VICTIM(S): State of California 


SUMMARY: On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, deputies assigned to the Victorville City Gang Impact Team (VCGIT) conducted an investigation related to the illegal possession of firearms by 22-year-old Kelvin Weathersby, a resident of Victorville. The investigation ultimately led to the service of a search warrant at a residence in the 11800 block of Firbrook Street, in Victorville.

At about 8:00 p.m., with the assistance of deputies assigned to the Victorville Station’s Multiple Enforcement Team (MET), VCGIT safely served the search warrant and recovered two handguns, a Glock 30 and a Glock 22. One of the firearms was equipped with a large-capacity magazine. Deputies also located .40-caliber ammunition.

Investigators determined Weathersby was a convicted felon and on active parole, which prohibited him from possessing firearms or ammunition. Weathersby was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for violations of Penal Code section 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of a Firearm; Penal Code section 30305(a)(1), Possession of Ammunition by a Prohibited Person; and Penal Code section 32310(a), Possession of a Large-Capacity Magazine.

The Victorville City Gang Impact Team remains committed to proactively identifying and removing illegally possessed firearms from our communities before they can be used in acts of violence. Through targeted investigations and enforcement efforts, VCGIT continues to focus on reducing gun violence and enhancing public safety throughout Victorville and the surrounding High Desert.
