School drop-off and dismissal are busy times, and we understand parents/guardians are often trying to get to work or other commitments. However, the safety of our children must remain the priority.
Allow additional time, remain patient, follow traffic regulations, and follow the School District's established procedures. Families who have access to school transportation are encouraged to utilize the school bus system to help reduce congestion around our schools.
LMK – Nelson Avenue: Do not discharge children from vehicles while stopped in the roadway. This places children in the path of traffic and may cause them to cross the street outside a designated crossing.
Harrison Avenue School – Mathews Street: Parking is permitted only on the south side of Mathews Street and in the designated spaces adjacent to the school parking lot. Double parking or queuing in the roadway is not permitted.
Harrison PD will continue to monitor school areas and enforce applicable traffic and parking regulations, as necessary.
