Public Invited to Meridian Anti-Drug Coalition’s Annual Recovery Day Breakfast
WHO: Meridian Anti-Drug Coalition (MADC), Mayor Robert Simison, and Meridian Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea will welcome guests.

WHAT: The Meridian Anti-Drug Coalition invites the community to attend its annual Recovery Day Breakfast in recognition of National Recovery Month.
The event brings community members, families, public safety partners, and individuals in recovery together to recognize the strength and resilience of those working toward recovery and to highlight the importance of support, connection, and hope.
“Join us for this special event as we recognize and celebrate the successes of individuals in recovery and honor those who provide support along the way. This year’s speaker is deeply fueled by their own long-term recovery journey. We will hear about bridging the gap between individuals in need and life-saving critical care,” said Hailey Blogg, Meridian Anti-Drug Coalition Director.
“Recovery is a challenging journey, and for two decades the Meridian Anti-Drug Coalition’s Recovery Breakfast celebration has helped encourage those who are struggling with addiction,” said Mayor Robert Simison, “This event highlights the strength of our community and how we can support those individuals who are moving towards a healthy future.”
Meridian Police Chief Tracy Basterrechea added, “The MADC Recovery Breakfast is one of the most important and impactful events we celebrate as a city each year. It is a joyful reminder of the value of human beings and the potential of the human spirit. These success stories highlight the resilience of those struggling with addiction.”
A light breakfast will be served at this free community event. Everyone is welcome.
