The Green Bay Police Department (GBPD) is searching for an Ashwaubenon man with a known violent history who fled a traffic stop on the city’s east side on Sunday, September 20, 2026, prompting a large police presence.
Police are looking for Jayveionn Williams, 20, of Ashwaubenon. Williams is wanted on numerous warrants, including Child Abuse Causing Great Bodily Harm.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., officers located a vehicle being driven by Williams. When officers attempted a traffic stop, Williams fled, leading to a brief pursuit. The chase ended near University Avenue and Henry Street after Williams’ vehicle struck a curb and became disabled. Williams then fled on foot.
Due to the situation and Williams’ history, GBPD requested assistance from Brown County Emergency Management to issue a temporary shelter-in-place order for those in the immediate area. The order was lifted around 4:00 p.m. However, Williams’ whereabouts remain unknown.
Williams is described as a Black male, approximately 5'10" tall and 190 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black sweatpants, and no shoes.
The public is urged not to approach Williams, as he is considered dangerous.
