INCIDENT: 2026-21735 – Shooting Incident
DATE & TIME OCCURRED: 09/11/2026 at 2338 hours

ACCUSED: Semaje D. Glanton, 28yo male resident of West
Windsor, NJ

DETAILS:
On September 11, 2026, at approximately 11:30 p.m., West Windsor Township Police responded to a report of a shooting at Freedom Village after a projectile was fired through the bedroom window of an occupied apartment in the 200 building. The victim reported hearing a loud bang before observing that a projectile had entered through the bedroom window and struck the ceiling above the bed. No injuries were reported.
Detectives from the West Windsor Township Police Department Detective Bureau responded to the scene and conducted an extensive investigation. During the processing of the scene, detectives recovered a 9mm shell casing from a wooded area in close proximity to the victim's apartment. Over the course of the following week, detectives reviewed hours of surveillance footage collected from multiple locations and conducted extensive investigative follow-up to establish a timeline and identify a suspect. The evidence collected during the investigation led detectives to determine the shooting was a deliberate act and a suspect was identified. Due to the nature of the investigation and the need to preserve the integrity of investigative efforts, the West Windsor Township Police Department withheld the release of information while the investigation remained active.
On the morning of September 18, 2026, West Windsor detectives, along with the assistance of the Mercer County Tactical Response Team, executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 600 building of Freedom Village, where evidence related to the investigation was recovered. An arrest warrant was also obtained for Semaje Dreon Glanton, 28, of West Windsor, New Jersey. Glanton was taken into custody without incident during the execution of the search warrant.
Glanton was charged with multiple offenses, including Weapons Charges, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Mischief, Possession of a Firearm Without a Serial Number, Possession of Hollow Point Bullets, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was transported to the Mercer County Correctional Facility, where he remains detained pending a court appearance.
