Please be advised that the playground at Glenarden Community Center, located at 8615 McLain Avenue in Glenarden, Maryland, will be closed to the public from September 16, 2026, through mid-October for construction of a new playground.
This exciting project is being completed in partnership with KABOOM! and Capital One and will bring new playground amenities to the community.
Community Volunteer Opportunity
The new playground will be built with the help of community volunteers September 23-25. Individuals age 16 and older who are interested in participating can learn more and register at https://bit.ly/GlenardenPlaygroundBuild.
