Six Cited at Simi Valley DUI Checkpoint
Simi Valley, Calif. – On September 19, 2026, six drivers were cited for violations including Driving without a Driver’s at a DUI checkpoint.
The DUI checkpoint was held at Madera Road and Strathearn Place from Enter 7:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Six drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, 886 vehicles were contacted.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
