PC 518 - Extortion
LOCATION: 16000 block of Live Oak Street, Hesperia
SUSPECT: Enrique Alvarez, 30-year-old, resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY: On August 25, 2026, Detective Elizabeth Holguin from the Specialized Investigations Division – Crimes Against Children Detail received information that Enrique Alvarez was in possession of child sexual abuse material. During the investigation, investigators determined that Alvarez used an online chat platform to contact a 15-year-old resident of Northern California. Alvarez told the minor he was 18 years old and received explicit images from the female juvenile. Alvarez is a registered PC 290 sex offender and is on parole.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Alvarez was booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for violation of PC 311.11(b), PC 288.2(a)(2), PC 288.3(a), and PC 518 and is being held without bail.
