Construction continues on Hudson Place as part of the ongoing Hoboken Connect project with LCOR and the City’s Water Main Replacement Program.
Due to additional water main replacement work and unanticipated underground utility conflicts encountered during construction, Hudson Place between Hudson Street and River Street is now scheduled to reopen to vehicular traffic and pedestrians by Monday, Oct. 19.
Contractors are currently working to upgrade a water main, and connect service lines before continuing with right-of-way improvements including, but not limited to, drainage upgrades, curb and sidewalk restoration, road reconstruction, and traffic signal upgrades.
Upon reopening Hudson Place to vehicular and pedestrian traffic, Hudson Street between Hudson Place and Observer Highway will close on or about Oct. 19. This phase of construction will include full depth roadway reconstruction and resurfacing, the completion of the Green Circuit west of Warrington Plaza, and the installation of new traffic signals and pedestrian crossing. This closure is expected to last approximately one month.
