FLOODING AND ROADWAY UPDATE – HIGHWAY 64-74 REOPENED Flood waters have receded from Highway 64-74 in the Chimney Rock and Lake Lure area and the roadway has been reopened to traffic. Residents and visitors are encouraged to continue monitoring weather conditions, local emergency notifications and official Rutherford County Emergency Management updates as conditions can change rapidly. Motorists should continue to use caution while traveling through the area and remain alert for changing conditions.
