Due to heavy rain Tuesday and more rain expected today, Lake Lure is releasing additional water from the dam. The lake is at full pond level, and the dam gates are currently above 3 feet. Sirens have been activated downstream from the dam to Rock Springs Church Road. Lake Lure has notified all campgrounds of the potential flood risk. No evacuations are needed at this time. Stay alert and watch for further updates.
