INCIDENT: Victorville City Gang Impact Team Investigation Leads to Two Arrests and Recovery of Illegal Firearms
LOCATION: 14000 block of Outer Hesperia Road, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Victor Prado, 18-years-old, Resident of Hesperia
Javier Segura, 52-years-old, Resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On September 22, 2026, deputies assigned to the Victorville City Gang Impact Team (VCGIT) conducted an investigation related to the illegal possession of firearms by 18-year-old Victor Prado, a resident of Hesperia. The investigation led to the service of a search warrant at a residence in the 14000 block of Outer Hesperia Road in Victorville.
During the search, deputies recovered numerous firearms, including two AR-style rifles configured as assault weapons under California law, a 7.62 caliber Mini Draco pistol, a pistol-grip shotgun, and a Polymer80 handgun. Deputies also recovered multiple large-capacity magazines, including drum and extended magazines.
Investigators determined Prado was on active probation and prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition. Prado was arrested for a violation of Penal Code section 29800(a)(1) - Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Deputies also arrested 52-year-old Javier Segura, a resident of Victorville, for multiple felony weapons offenses, including Penal Code section 30605(a) - Possession of an Assault Weapon, and Penal Code section 32310(a) - Possession of a Large-Capacity Magazine. Prado and Segura were booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
