| Narrative: |
On 09/22/2026, at approximately 1315 hours, deputies responded to 4241 Tierra Rejada Road (Vons Shopping Center) reference a report of a male subject in a white Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) offering juveniles money for work and making vulgar comments.
A short time later another call for service regarding similar circumstances was made at 425 W. Los Angeles Road (Grocery Outlet Shopping Center). The suspect was described as a white male with reddish balding hair. One of the reporting parties was able to provide a license plate for the suspect’s vehicle.
After speaking with the reporting parties, deputies determined there was probable cause to arrest the suspect for pandering and child annoyance. Deputies searched the reported areas in attempt to locate the suspect. Utilizing automated license plate reader (ALPR) technology and law enforcement databases, deputies were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle. Deputies then located the suspect, identified as (A) Brent Bischoff, and took him into custody.
Once Bischoff was in custody, detectives with the Moorpark Investigations Unit and East County Sexual Assault Unit assumed the investigation. Bischoff was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for multiple counts of PC 266I(a)(6)- Pandering or Soliciting for Sexual Offenses, PC 288.3- to contact or attempt to contact a minor with the intent to commit a crime, and PC 647.6- Child Annoyance.
The investigation is still on-going and since Bischoff’s arrest, more victims have come forward. Detectives believe there may be additional victims who have had contact with Bischoff. Moorpark Detectives encourage anyone who may have additional information about Bischoff, or who have had prior contact with Bischoff, to contact the Moorpark Police Department.
