⚠️ TUCKERTON BOROUGH WEATHER ADVISORY ⚠️
Residents in the Tuckerton Beach area should be prepared for a period of strong northeast winds, gusty conditions, rain and coastal/tidal flooding. This is a nor’easter-type coastal weather event, so there is no need to panic, but please take the usual precautions now. The National Weather Service forecast for Tuckerton calls for strong northeast winds with gusts around 40 mph, along with coastal flooding concerns.
Now is the time to prepare:
- Secure trash cans, outdoor furniture and any other loose items that could blow away.
- Make sure floating docks, boats and other waterfront items are properly secured.
- Residents who are concerned about their vehicles and would like to move them to higher ground may park in the parking lot behind 140 East Main Street or at the Methodist Church on North Green Street — pantry side ONLY.
- Please DO NOT drive down to the Tuckerton Beach area simply to look at the tide or flooding. Unnecessary vehicle traffic creates additional problems for Borough personnel and emergency responders. If you do not need to be in the area, please stay out of the flooded sections.
We are accustomed to coastal storms in Tuckerton. Prepare, use common sense, and please do not panic. The Borough will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as necessary.
