1. Battery on an Officer (1454) North California Street and East Acacia Street, Civic District
Officers arrested the suspect for public intoxication. While being transported to jail, the suspect banged his head against the patrol vehicle window and spat on an officer. Additional restraints were applied to prevent injury to the suspect and officers. ARRESTED: Justin McCarthy, 50, for battery on an officer and public
intoxication.
2. Carjacking (2147) 800 Block of East March Lane, Valley Oak District
The male victim, 27, was in the listed area with the known suspects when one suspect brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s property. The other suspects punched and kicked the victim, and the suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and declined medical attention. SUSPECTS: Two White male adults, a Middle Eastern male adult, and an unknown-race male adult.
3. Armed Robbery (2159) 2600 Block of Home Street, Park District
The male victim, 28, was in the listed area when the suspects approached. The suspects brandished firearms, forced the victim to the ground, assaulted him, and stole his property. The suspects fled on foot. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at the scene. SUSPECTS: Two Hispanic male adults.
4. Resisting Arrest (2322) 2900 Block of South Lincoln Street, Seaport District
Officers responded to the listed area on a report of a restraining order violation. Officers attempted to detain the known suspect, but the suspect struggled with officers and attempted to retrieve a knife from his waistband. Force was used to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Jose Soto, 47, for resisting arrest,
violation of a restraining order, terrorist threats, and weapon charges.
5. Resisting Arrest (0020) Estate Drive and Smoke Tree Circle, Bear Creek District
Officers responded to the listed area on a report of a vehicle burglary in progress. Upon their arrival, the three
suspects fled on foot. Officers caught one suspect, and force was used to take him into custody. ARRESTED: A 15-year-old male for resisting arrest, burglary, and conspiracy.
