Van Emburgh Avenue Roadwork Notice
Please be advised that Bergen County is milling and paving on Van Emburgh in Ridgewood starting September 28, 2026.
The County will be milling Van Emburgh Avenue on September 28 and 29, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. During this work, officers will be stationed in the area to assist with traffic control. Traffic will be permitted only for IHA access and for residents traveling as far as Katharina. Van Emburgh Avenue will have a hard closure at Katharina while the milling and paving work is underway.
On October 1, Van Emburgh Avenue is scheduled to be paved. Officers will again be stationed along Van Emburgh Avenue to assist with traffic control. Traffic will be permitted only for IHA access and for residents traveling as far as Katharina.
We understand that this roadwork may cause some temporary inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation. Please follow all posted detours and allow extra travel time.
