The Rutherford County 911 Communications Center was conducting the regularly scheduled weekly test of the Isothermal Community College campus warning siren. During the test, a live activation was inadvertently sent countywide.
We understand that an unexpected siren activation can cause concern, and we apologize for any confusion or alarm this may have caused. Please be assured that there is no threat or emergency at this time and no action is needed from residents.
