LOCATION: 15000 Block of Enfield Drive, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Semaj Raines, 31-year-old Resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): Adult female, and female juvenile
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at approximately 4:25 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Station responded to the 15000 block of Enfield Drive regarding an assault.
Upon arrival, deputies entered the residence and located an adult female victim who had been restrained and had multiple visible injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
During the investigation, deputies learned the suspect, identified as Semaj Raines, had left the location with a female juvenile.
With the assistance of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s aerial support personnel, deputies located Raines’ vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the 10000 block of Seventh Avenue, in Hesperia. Raines was detained, and the juvenile was in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, not secured in a child safety seat.
Semaj Raines was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for, P.C. 664/187 - Attempted Murder, P.C. 206 – Torture, P.C. 236 – False Imprisonment, P.C. 273.5(A) – Corporal Injury to a Spouse, and P.C. 22810(A) – Unlawful Possession or Use of Tear Gas.
