INCIDENT: Organized Retail Theft
LOCATION: 19200 Block of Bear Valley Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT: Pablo Munoz, 30-year-old male, Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 10, 2026, deputies with the Apple Valley Station’s Multiple Enforcement Team responded to the 19200 block of Bear Valley Road, regarding multiple theft reports involving the same suspect. The suspect, later identified as Pablo Munoz, entered the business on multiple occasions and passed all points of sale without purchasing merchandise. An arrest warrant for Munoz and a search warrant for his residence were subsequently authored.
On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at approximately 7:30 a.m., investigators with the Apple Valley Detective Bureau, Multiple Enforcement Team, and Gang Enforcement Team contacted Munoz during a traffic stop near the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Reata Road. During the investigation, it was found that Munoz had stolen merchandise, from the same business, shortly before the traffic stop.
Munoz was detained, and deputies responded to his residence in the 12000 block of Amber Creek Road. Investigators served a search warrant and recovered approximately $4,703 worth of stolen merchandise from Target businesses.
Munoz was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for PC 487(a), Grand Theft, and PC 490.4(a)(3), Organized Retail Theft. Munoz posted bail and was released from custody.
