A nor’easter is being monitored for our region, and now is a good time to prepare. A little planning now can help keep you, your family, and your property safe if conditions worsen.
- Charge your devices — phones, batteries, and other essential electronics
- Have flashlights & extra batteries ready
- Stock up on medications and essential supplies
- Keep enough food and water on hand for several days
- Secure outdoor furniture, decorations, trash/recycling bins, and other loose items
- Clear leaves and debris from drains and areas around your property
- Avoid unnecessary travel during the storm and allow extra time if travel is necessary
- Prepare for possible power outages and never use generators, grills, or other fuel-burning equipment indoors
- Stay informed by monitoring official Town communications and weather alerts
