MTA has undertaken a project known as the Penn Station Access Project, and a portion of it is within the Village of Pelham Manor. The MTA access point is off of Forest Road. While the Village and some residents have received direct communications from MTA about this project, the precise details have been sparse. Last night, many residents throughout the Village reported hearing overnight noise, which was related to this project and work taking place on the tracks. If you hear overnight noise that sounds similar to a lawn mower, it is likely related to this project. However, if you hear noises overnight and have immediate concerns for safety, please call the Pelham Manor Police Desk at 914-738-1000.
The Village has reached out to MTA to try to obtain more information on the schedule, however, we have yet to receive it. When we do, we will communicate it to the broader community in a timely manner. Residents may voice questions and concerns directly to MTA at [email protected] or 347-263-7837.
