Fairfield Emergency Management is following the Nor’easter expected to move into this area this weekend. Flooding may occur along our coast and near rivers especially at the times of High tide (11:54PM Saturday, 12:09PM Sunday, 12:36AM and 12:49PM Monday.)
Residents that experience recurring flooding should consider relocating cars. Parking is available at the Fairfield Train Station lot at 165 Unquowa Road (southbound train side.) Parking restrictions are waived during storm emergencies at the direction of Emergency Management and the Police Department.
Strong winds are expected; please secure any items which may be affected by strong wind gusts and charge all electronic devices.
If you must travel, it’s good to remember that if you approach a flooded roadway, “Turn Around, Don’t Drown.” Floodwaters can be deeper than expected.
If possible, stay home, stay safe and check on your neighbors.
