According to the National Weather Service, a nor’easter will impact the area through the weekend, bringing a prolonged period of rainfall, strong winds, and hazardous conditions. Showers and a few thunderstorms from early Sunday morning into early Sunday afternoon may produce heavy downpours and isolated to scattered flash flooding.

Some urban and poor-drainage flooding is possible, particularly into Sunday morning. While any flash flooding is expected to be localized, residents should use caution and avoid driving through flooded roadways.

A Wind Advisory is also in effect from Friday at 2:00 p.m. through Sunday at 6:00 a.m. Sustained northeast winds of 20–25 mph, locally 30–35 mph, with gusts of 40–50 mph and locally up to 55 mph are expected. Residents should secure loose outdoor objects. Downed tree limbs, scattered downed trees, and power outages are possible.

The storm is also expected to bring strong winds, with peak northeast/north gusts of 40–55 mph, which could result in downed tree limbs, scattered trees, and power lines. Residents should never approach or touch a downed power line.

Summer Sunset Concert Canceled

Due to the forecasted weather conditions, the final Summer Sunset Concert of the season, scheduled for Saturday, September 26th, has been canceled. If a rescheduled date is possible, the Village will announce it at a later time.

Overnight Parking

Overnight parking restrictions throughout the Village have been temporarily waived for all residents until Monday.
