Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., announces that the Dominican Day Parade, scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2026, has been postponed due to inclement weather.
The parade has currently been rescheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 25th, 2026, at 7th Avenue and Roseville Avenue. The parade will proceed along Roseville Avenue and continue on Park Avenue to 1st Street.
Director Miranda thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this postponement. He also urges anyone with information regarding criminal activities to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
