FH SAFETY REMINDERS:

• Secure outdoor furniture, decorations, trash cans, umbrellas, and other loose items that could become hazardous in high winds.
• Keep storm drains and curb inlets clear.
• Do not place brush, leaves, branches, or other debris in the roadway or near stormwater inlets. Debris can block drainage and contribute to localized flooding.
• Avoid parking directly over or immediately adjacent to stormwater inlets whenever possible.
• Use caution when traveling. Downed branches, standing water, and other storm-related hazards may require temporary road closures
• Do not drive through flooded roads — even shallow water can be dangerous.
• Monitor official sources before making travel or safety decisions.
• Stay alert for changes in weather event forecast.
• Contact FH PD for any emergency issues.
• Do NOT report outages to the Police Department as to not tie up emergency lines.
• Outages should be reported directly to First Energy.
• Downed wires should be reported to the PD and should be treated as if they are live.
• Depending on the progression of the storm, and if deemed necessary, a shelter will be established and residents would be advised.
