* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...South Central Rio Arriba County in north central New Mexico...
* WHEN...Until 300 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 109 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms moving off the Jemez Mountains toward Medanales, U.S. Highway 84, and the Rio Chama. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Medanales. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings.
