The National Weather Service is monitoring a possible nor'easter expected to affect our area this evening through Sunday. The storm may bring prolonged rain, wind gusts of 40-45 mph, localized flooding, downed trees and power lines, and power outages.
Residents should prepare now and use caution:
- Secure ourdoor furniture, garbage cans and other loose objects
- Charge cell phones and portable chargers
- Keep flashlights and batteries available
- Avoid unnecessary travel
- Never drive through flooded roadways or around barricades
- Stay away from downed trees and power lines
- Use generators outdoors only and away from windows and doors
- Check on neighbors and anyone that may need assistance
