UPDATE: Palm Desert High School was released from the precautionary lockout earlier this afternoon. 
The precautionary school lockout issued earlier this afternoon has been lifted.
At approximately 2:43 p.m., law enforcement issued the all clear and advised there was no further public safety threat. Students were reported safe, and normal school activities resumed.
The Sheriff’s Office investigation remains ongoing.
