Weekend Nor’easter Weather Advisory
Prepare for Strong Winds and Heavy Rain
The Haledon Office of Emergency Management is monitoring a nor’easter expected to affect the area through Monday, September 28, 2026.
According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts of 45–55 mph are possible through early Sunday, with 1.5–3.5 inches of rain forecast regionally through Monday. Downed tree limbs, power outages, and flooding in areas with poor drainage are possible.
Residents should secure outdoor furniture, trash cans, and other loose items; charge phones and essential devices; and use caution when traveling. Never drive through floodwater and stay away from downed wires.
