Special Weather Statement until 12:00AM Saturday

At 1128 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Sumner Lake, or 14 miles northwest of Fort Sumner, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Fort Sumner, Sumner Lake State Park and Sumner Lake.
