FLOODING & ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE
Flooding continues to be a major issue throughout the area.
Park Boulevard remains closed, as well as New Jersey Avenue south of Fern Road. Northbound Pacific Avenue is closed at Stockton Road due to flooding.
As a reminder, a State of Emergency remains in effect for Cape May County due to the ongoing storm and hazardous conditions.
Please avoid unnecessary travel, as traffic congestion is becoming an issue due to the limited access to and from the island. At this time, the Middle Thorofare Bridge remains the only point of access to and from the island.
The next high tide at Sunset Lake is expected at approximately 8:50 PM tonight. If you are in a flood-prone or low-lying area, please move vehicles to higher ground and make preparations ahead of the next high-tide cycle, as additional flooding is possible.
Please do not attempt to drive through flooded roadways.
