All previous reported incidents involving trees/wires down have been cleared, and all roadways are open at this time.
Heavy rain and wind are expected to continue throughout the evening and overnight. Please use caution when travelling on the roadways. Do not drive through flooded roadways and never drive over or touch downed wires.
As a reminder:
- Always assume a downed wire is energized.
- Stay away from downed wires and anything that may be in contact with them, including trees, limbs, fences or standing water.
- Do not attempt to move trees or limbs that are touching or near electrical equipment.
- Downed wires should be reported to JCP&L and PSE&G, and immediate hazards should also be reported to local emergency services.
Residents should monitor official weather, emergency management and JCP&L and PSE&G communications throughout the duration of the storm for updated information.
