Due to anticipated inclement weather, the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) would like to inform the community that the Cheer Open House and Competitive Cheer Tryouts originally scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2026, have been rescheduled to Sunday, October 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Kenilworth Recreation Center (4321 Ord ST, NE).
DPR will still host Competitive Cheer Tryouts on Tuesday, September 29, and Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Langdon Recreation Center (2901 20th St NE), as originally scheduled.
The additional time will provide an opportunity to reach more young athletes and families and ensure as many participants as possible have the opportunity to learn about DPR Cheer and be part of the program.
