SUNDAY MORNING STORM UPDATE | MORRISTOWN
The worst of the storm is behind us, but we’re not quite done yet.
Good morning, Morristown!
After a wet and windy night, conditions are beginning to improve. However, strong wind gusts will continue through this morning, so please use caution.
WIND ADVISORY THROUGH NOON
The Wind Advisory remains in effect until 12 PM today, with north winds of 15–20 MPH and gusts potentially reaching 40–50 MPH.
With the ground saturated from the recent rain, trees and limbs are more vulnerable. Please watch for downed trees, branches and wires, particularly during the morning hours.
POWER OUTAGES
Utility crews are continuing restoration efforts. If your power is out, report it to JCP&L and stay well clear of any downed wires.
MORE RAIN TODAY
Rain will become more scattered this morning, with additional showers possible this afternoon. Another period of steadier rain is expected tonight before conditions gradually improve overnight.
Localized ponding and drainage issues are possible, but widespread flooding is not expected.
For Morristown this morning:

• Watch for falling limbs and downed trees
• Report outages and stay away from downed wires
• Allow extra time and use caution on the roads
• Expect another round of rain tonight
