THE TOWNSHIP OF MILLSTONE COUNTY OF MONMOUTH STATE OF NEW JERSEY Mayor’s Office FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MAYORAL STATEMENT: Emergency Opening of the Brush Drop-off Facility Following Weekend Nor’easter Dear Residents, DATE: September 28, 2026 In the wake of this past weekend’s severe Nor'easter, our emergency management and public works teams have been working around the clock to clear public roads, restore utility services, and assess storm damage across our community. We recognize that the high winds and heavy rainfall left significant tree debris, downed branches, and yard damage throughout our neighborhoods. To assist residents with their cleanup efforts, the township will hold an emergency opening of the Brush Drop-off Facility this coming weekend. • Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026 • Hours: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM • Location: Township Municipal Drop-off Facility, Baird Road Drop-off Guidelines: To ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently for all residents: • Accepted Materials: Unprocessed brush, tree limbs, and storm-damaged branches up to 8 inches in diameter. • Prohibited Items: Grass clippings, leaves, lumber, treated wood, stumps, or commercial landclearing debris will not be accepted. • Residency Requirement: This service is free and strictly available to township residents. Proof of residency (driver's license or current utility bill) is required upon entry. • Commercial Contractors: Landscaping and commercial tree service contractors are prohibited from dumping storm debris at this facility. Public Works crews will remain deployed throughout the week to monitor roads and clear remaining hazards from public rights-of-way. Please continue to exercise caution around working road crews and report any remaining blocked roadways or compromised public infrastructure to Non-Emergency Dispatch.
