Deputy Andrew Smith with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 34-year-old Theresa Gayle Alsbrook of Marion with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued a $10,000 secured bond.
On Friday, September 18, deputies initiated a traffic stop near Exit 83 on eastbound I-40 for traffic violations. The driver was found to be operating the vehicle with no license or registration. Alsbrook was a passenger in the car.
A short time later, deputies located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in Alsbrook’s possession after MCSO K-9 Rambo alerted to the vehicle.
