* Flash Flood Warning for... Northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 100 PM MST.

* At 953 AM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tucson, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Casas Adobes, Drexel Heights, Flowing Wells, South Tucson, San Xavier Community, Tucson International Airport, Catalina Foothills, Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park West. This includes the following highways... Interstate 19 between mile markers 58 and 63. Route 86 between mile markers 168 and 171. Route 77 between mile markers 70 and 72. Interstate 10 between mile markers 249 and 265. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Santa Clara Ave at El Vado Wash, 1st Ave north of Fort Lowell Rd, Stone Ave at Mabel St, Alamo Wash between Speedway and Grant, Camino De La Tierra at the Rillito River, Camino de Oeste from Sweetwater to Gates Pass, Ironwood Hills Dr from Shannon to Camino de Oeste and Sunset Rd west of Camino de Oeste.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
