At approximately 9:30 a.m. on September 29, 2026, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) notified the Simi Valley Police Department (SVPD) that federal agents had a suspect in custody and had been involved in several traffic collisions.
SVPD officers responded to the area of Hubbard Street and Los Angeles Avenue to investigate the reported collisions. Officers determined that two separate non-injury traffic collisions occurred within the City of Simi Valley, both involving ICE vehicles striking parked vehicles.
SVPD's involvement in the incident was limited to responding to and investigating traffic collisions within the city. SVPD was not involved in the underlying federal enforcement operation, the suspect's apprehension, or any other federal investigative or enforcement activity.
Because the incident involved a federal law enforcement operation, questions regarding the suspect, the circumstances surrounding the federal operation, or ICE's activities should be directed to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security or U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
