Activity for September 29, 2026:
- Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of East Ganson Street for a larceny report. The stolen property was located in the 100 block of Bates Street and returned to the owner. A 35-year-old male on scene was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon.
- Officer Delgado investigated a larceny that occurred in the 200 block of West Monroe Street. A search warrant was obtained for the suspect’s property, and officers located a large amount of stolen items. The investigation is ongoing.
- Officer Kruso and Officer Silvestri were dispatched to the 300 block of North Elm Avenue for a found firearm. Charges will be sought on a 21-year-old male for possessing a prohibited weapon.
- Officer Kruso and Officer Silvestri responded to a traffic crash near Michigan Avenue and Waterloo Avenue. A 53-year-old female was arrested for driving while intoxicated (high blood alcohol content/super drunk).
- Officer Bean visited St. John’s Elementary.
- Officer Simon was dispatched to the 400 block of West Michigan Avenue for a larceny report.
- Officer Soloman responded to the 500 block of South Jackson Street for a larceny report. A 49-year-old female was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
- Officer Smith was dispatched to a domestic dispute at North Waterloo Avenue and Rock Street. A 48-year-old female was arrested for domestic assault.
- Officer Frazier responded to Birchwood Drive and Elmdale Drive for a personal welfare check.
- Officer Soloman was dispatched to the 1000 block of Sixth Street for a stolen vehicle report. The vehicle was entered into the national database as stolen.
- Officer Farnsworth responded to the 500 block of Burr Street for a home invasion report. The investigation is ongoing.
