2026 North Brunswick Police Department - Civilian Police Academy
?Applications now being accepted! ?
The North Brunswick Police Department is happy to announce that we will again be hosting the Civilian Police Academy!
The program will meet once per week, on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm, and is tentatively scheduled to begin on October 21st , and conclude on December 16th. Anyone interested in participating must complete the attached application, be over 21 years of age, and may be subject to a background investigation. Space is limited, so applications may be denied based upon any reason, including class size.
Accepted applicants will get a front row seat along side North Brunswick First Responders to gain insight into how the various departments work. Each session will focus on a different facet of law enforcement and emergency operations. At the end of this opportunity, graduates will have a better understanding of the methods used in Law Enforcement as well as many of the aspects involved. Priority selection will be given to North Brunswick residents and those persons that work within the Township. There will not be a physical fitness portion to this training, and there is no cost to register. Attendees will not possess any type of police authority upon graduation.
