The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating the death of a female child. On Tuesday, September 1, 2026, the child, between the ages of 8-11 was found deceased in the Dominguez Channel near the 20200 block of Avalon Boulevard in the city of Carson.
Investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the child and providing information that may assist in this investigation.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department forensic artists have prepared a composite image of the child, as well as an image depicting the clothes she was wearing when she was found. Investigators are releasing these images in hopes that a member of the public may recognize the child or the clothing and provide information that could help establish her identity.
