With rain in the area, please use extra caution while traveling and be mindful of locations that are prone to flooding, especially 8th Street and 5th Street at the I-45 overpass.
Never attempt to drive through a flooded roadway. Water can be deeper and moving faster than it appears.
If you encounter high water:
• Turn around and find another route.
• Never drive around barricades.
• Allow extra time to reach your destination.
• Stay alert and drive safely.
