The Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District (@GLAmosquito) is reminding residents to take precautions against mosquito bites. West Nile virus is transmitted through the bite of an infected mosquito, and Culex mosquitoes that can transmit the virus are most active from dusk to dawn.
- Use insect repellent
- Wear long sleeves and pants
- Remove standing water around your home
