INCIDENT: Felony Vandalism and Vehicle Pursuit

SUSPECT(S): Dominic Nieto, 32-years-old, Resident of Hesperia
Brian Snyder, 34-years-old, Resident of Apple Valley

SUMMARY: On Saturday, October 3, 3026, deputies from the Apple Valley Station initiated a traffic enforcement stop of a motorcycle related to a felony vandalism investigation near Apple Valley Road and Ottawa Road’s intersection. The rider, identified as Hesperia resident Dominic Nieto, rode alongside a second motorcycle, ridden by Apple Valley resident Brian Snyder.
Nieto and Snyder failed to yield, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. While deputies pursued Nieto and Snyder, they separated, and committed numerous vehicle code violations as they continued to flee. Snyder accessed Interstate 15 North and Sheriff’s Department aviation assisted with pursing him. Snyder exited Wild Wash Road, rode on a dirt access road, and was apprehended when he attempted to cross a ravine.
Nieto rode throughout Apple Valley for approximately 24 minutes before deputies lost observation of him. Through the vandalism investigation, Nieto was identified as the suspect, and was apprehended at his residence in Hesperia on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
