INCIDENT: Traffic stop leads to seizure of approximately one pound of suspected methamphetamine and two arrests
LOCATION: Bear Valley Road and Garnet Avenue, Hesperia
SUSPECT(1): Donald Gerhart, 64-year-old, Resident of Hesperia
SUSPECT(2): Tony Gerhart, 59-year-old, Resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On Thursday, September 24, 2026, at approximately 6:57 p.m., investigators with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Hesperia Gang Investigations Team conducted a traffic stop near Bear Valley Road and Garnet Avenue in Hesperia.
Investigators identified the driver as Donald Gerhart and the passenger as Tony Gerhart. During the investigation, deputies located approximately one pound of suspected methamphetamine inside the vehicle. Additional suspected methamphetamine was located on both Donald Gerhart and Tony Gerhart.
Both suspects were arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center for, HS11352 - Transportation of a controlled substance, and HS11351 - Possession of a controlled substance for sale.
