Haledon 9 PM Routine: Help Prevent Property and Vehicle Theft
The Haledon Police Department is reminding residents to make the 9 PM Routine part of their nightly crime prevention habits. Taking a few simple steps each evening can help reduce opportunities for vehicle burglaries, thefts, and other property crimes.
Remove valuables from your vehicle or secure them out of sight.
Activate exterior lighting, security cameras, and alarm systems.
Secure your vehicle key fobs inside your home and away from your vehicle.
Remain alert and report suspicious activity.
Unlocked vehicles and unsecured property can provide an easy opportunity for theft. A few minutes of prevention each night can make a significant difference.
If you observe suspicious activity, please contact the Haledon Police Department at 973-790-4444. For emergencies, you may also call 9-1-1.
Working together, we can help keep Haledon safe.
