INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Bear Valley Road / Stonegate Drive, Victorville
DRIVER: Female, 22-years-old
PASSENGER: Female, 19-years-old
DECEDENT: Lizette Acero, 19-year-old, Resident of Pinion Hills
SUMMARY: On Saturday, October 3, 2026, at approximately 11:32 p.m., deputies from Victorville Station, along with Victorville Fire Department, and CONFIRE EMS personnel responded to the area of Bear Valley Road and Stonegate Drive for a single vehicle traffic collision.
The preliminary investigation revealed a white Hyundai Elantra drove westbound on Bear Valley Road, west of Amethyst Road. The vehicle collided with a tree north of Bear Valley Road.
The front passenger of the vehicle, identified as Lizette Acero, sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital by CONFIRE EMS, and was later pronounced deceased. The driver and a passenger in the back seat were also transported to a local hospital for treatment. Both the driver and passenger cooperated with the investigation.
Victorville’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The investigation surrounding the circumstances of this collision remains ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
